Comenius letter 8th grade September/October

Dear Comenius friends,

We are very happy to write you again after such a long time.
We had a wonderful summer holiday. We visited different countries from Europe: Cristina and Paul visited Portugal, Alex visited Spain , Ioana and Iulia visited Italy,   Mara visited Austria and Denisa visited Hungary.
Some of use visited touristic attractions from our country: the Black Sea, the Bran Castle, and the Houses of Parliament in Bucharest.
We had a great time, but we couldn`t wait to see our colleagues again.
The first school day was on the 13-th of September. In the morning the first graders were presented to all the other students from this school. We welcomed them with flowers and applause .We received our books and we met again our teachers.
We are so sad because this is our last year in the ,,Octavian  Goga” School.
Once we started the school we participated at new interesting projects. One of the projects was `The Anticommunist Resistance Tour`. The project consisted in a conference
about  the ,,Holocaust”.
There is a traditional festival in our city: `The Chestnut Feast`. It is celebrated in late September-early October, when chestnuts in the area are matured. This festival lasts three days. There are several concerts and on the last day, fireworks.
`The Chestnut Feast` is a symbol for Baia Mare.
This weekend our English teacher organized a trip in Deva town. During this trip we visited the ` Octavian Goga` School from Deva, our “twin sister” where we met children of our age and we spent a wonderful time together.
Our teachers are preparing us for the National Exams which will take place in our school in the last days of  June.
We are also planning the party which will be held at the ending of the 8-th grade.
How did you spend your holiday? We hope your holiday was as great as ours and we are looking forward to see you again.

Best regards,
Your 8th A grade friends from Romania.
